Christine Johnson, a newly declared major, works as a volunteer in the collections and archives at the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, Tennessee. The museum, which is a Smithsonian Affiliate, features a diverse array of artifacts displayed in historic buildings. During her time there, Christine can often be found cleaning and preserving two hundred year old crazy quilts, dusting rare musical instruments, or helping to catalog the museum's thousands of rare offerings.
