Double-Major in American Studies

Yes, up to four courses—12 hours—may double-count this way. And there are classes that count both for American Studies and UT requirements such as upper level US studies and lower-level distributions. Thus most of our students can easily pick up at least a minor—if not a second major—in an associated department like English, History, Anthropology, and many more.
