The cross-disciplinary study of American culture is exceptionally interesting and rewarding. You can explore a huge range of fascinating subjects: history and the arts, racial differences and social movements, queer theory and transnational relationships, regional cultures and environments, the politics of US religion, media and popular culture, and many others. More than in most fields, you can integrate knowledge from many disciplines and develop a concentration tailored to your specific interests. And you will learn to think critically about cultural-political issues that will impact your life long after you leave University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

The flagship campus of the University of Tennessee System and partner in the Tennessee Transfer Pathway.
